What information do I need to make a payment?

To make an international payment, you’ll generally need to provide your beneficiary's name, bank account number, SWIFT and/or BIC number, and bank name and address. Other details might be required, and these may vary from one country to the other, such as: • CNAPS, name of your beneficiary in Chinese characters, and purpose of payment in China • BSB number in Australia • Routing number and intermediary bank code (sometimes) in the US • IBAN in Europe, the Caribbean, the Middle East, and North Africa • Sort code in the UK

How quickly can I start transacting?

You can start funding, sending, and receiving in your Peratera account as soon as it is approved. Account approval usually takes anywhere from 1 to 3 days. During this period, we will be carefully verifying your application and business information to make sure you meet our regulatory requirements. If you have trouble getting started, our support team is here to help.

How does the Peratera business account differ from a bank account?

The Peratera business account works just like a traditional business account but faster, cheaper, and more reliable for your business transactions. Usually, business bank accounts require at least one in-person meeting, and the opening process can take anywhere from a couple of weeks to months. Conversely, Peratera accounts are opened through a 100% online application in less than three days. Moreover, your Peratera account allows you to send funds across 190+ countries. We help our customers to accept 300+ international and local payment methods for their cross-border business needs. Traditional banks offer fewer options and less coverage than Peratera business accounts.

How long does it take for an incoming payment to be credited to my Peratera account?

Payment clearance time varies depending on the payment method used by the sender. For example, SEPA payments are credited to your account the same day they are sent, while SWIFT payments, international transactions, can take 2-3 days to clear. Different factors can affect the clearance time, from the sending bank, corresponding banks, and the payment currency. As soon as our partner banks receive the payment, it will be credited to your Peratera account immediately. To guarantee the fastest clearance of your payments, make sure the transaction is made on working days from 9 am to 5 pm UK time, excluding public holidays.
